Suicide Prevention Month Outreach – University of Zambia
September 2025 | Suicide Prevention Month Outreach – University of Zambia (Main & Ridgeway Campuses).
In commemoration of Suicide Prevention Month, GamAid Zambia engaged over 300 students at the University of Zambia’s Main and Ridgeway Campuses in conversations about gambling addiction, mental health, and financial distress.
Students shared experiences of debt, academic decline, and the growing normalization of betting culture on campus. Our team provided education on warning signs and highlighted the recovery support available through GamAid, including counselling and peer support services.
The outreach reinforced a vital message: behind many gambling struggles are silent mental health battles. GamAid remains committed to ensuring students know that help is accessible and recovery is possible.
